Program Manager DC Exit – Technology, Engineering, and Operations

Role Summary

We are looking to recruit an experienced Program Manager for an IT Infrastructure focused role. Specifically targeting our DC Exit programme.

In this role you will be the focal point for leading a critical data centre migration and closure programme with multiple large deliverables including the build of an internet security zone (DMZ) and scale out of infrastructure capacity to absorb incoming workloads.

This role will be highly visible from a financial and project planning perspective and the successful candidate will need to be have previous experience with large scale roles and executive sponsors.

This is a fixed term full time role for 2.5 years through end of December 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Works within defined Project Management processes and methodologies (Agile or Waterfall) to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and the PMO for Project activities.
  • Work closely with Portfolio Lead and Finance teams to establish a Financial Plan for the project and manage the plan in accordance with agreed budgets.
  • Clearly define the scope of the project in terms of the key activities and decisions required to successfully execute. Ensure scope is clearly defined / decomposed in Jira and work assigned to the appropriate team members.
  • Identify and define Roles & Responsibilities for Project activities.
  • Develop and manage a robust delivery plan for each Project, including appropriate milestones and review points for measuring progress.
  • Rigorously manage project scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Provide timely communication of project status, performance results, issues and risks to schedule, cost, and quality to project stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrable experience (5 years minimum) in the delivery of IT systems and services, with a significant emphasis on Infrastructure, IT security and a track record of accomplishment bringing credibility to engagements.
  • Experience within IT Infrastructure, active directory, network, windows, end points, security tooling, and Azure cloud advantageous.
  • Experience overseeing all aspects of projects, including planning, resource allocation, budget, requirements, design, and delivery execution through to handover to Production Support.
  • Exceptional leadership, people management, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively navigate a highly matrixed organization working across multiple time-zones to support project delivery.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience in Agile tools (JIRA), collaboration tools (Confluence, SharePoint etc.) and ServiceNow would be advantageous.

Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or similar field.
  • Knowledge of, qualifications and/or certifications in industry standard project management methodologies such as PMP, Prince2 or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is desirable.
