Position Summary
Within the employer health benefits segment this role will work alongside the client management team supporting them in managing their client and broker relationships. It requires consultative thinking when decisions are needed in real time for brokers or clients, including how benefits are administered across platforms, the intricacies of specific products, and how our networks work. The person in this role must balance capability with client desire, set expectations appropriately with new and existing clients, and provide client and broker support in service, maintenance, and penetration. They respond to moderately complex inquiries, solve problems, ensure client satisfaction with products and service, and coordinate with client management to meet needs and avert potential problems. The role completes day‑to‑day Client Account Support tasks without immediate supervision.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Demonstrates thorough business knowledge about product and service offerings and supports rollout of organisational initiatives
- Exercises consultative thinking when decisions are needed in real time for brokers or clients
- Responsible for resolving complex inquiries, delegated tasks, solving non‑routine problems, and ensuring satisfaction with products and service for the Large Corporate Client Management team.
- Develops an individual relationship with and interacts directly with strategic clients and brokers
- Might be required to travel alongside the Client Manager to attend and present topics in internal and external client meetings
- Organises and facilitates the WebEx for Client or Broker meetings
- Provides point of contact backup telephonic and email support for client manager
- Provides response to emails and/or voicemail within 24 hours
- Complies with all mandatory training to broaden knowledge base and gain expertise, completed on time by deadlines with expected passing requirements
- Day‑to‑day administrative tasks
- Will work as a Cigna Global broker advocate as an internal partner to support high broker touch points
- Supports all ad‑hoc Client Management Salesforce.com reporting requests.
- Might act as a technical resource that will create and maintain training materials.
Role Requirements/Attributes For Success
- Demonstrated solid performance in a client or customer facing role for at least 2 years
- Fluency in Dutch and English, or Italian and English, is essential for this role.
- Highly responsive, ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, resourceful, anticipates needs, nimble learner
- Advantageous to have knowledge of Cigna products and administrative processes
- Excellent verbal/written communication and data presentation skills
- Thorough understanding of multiple software and system‑based applications such as Microsoft Office database and spreadsheets (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Demonstrated mastery of written and verbal communication skills and critical thinking
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to take ownership and demonstrate initiative
- Capable of prioritising workloads to achieve/exceed tight deadlines
