We’re looking for a skilled CNC Turner Machinist to operate our large Doosan XL400 Turning Centre — a 3.6m long machine capable of machining tubes and both medium and large journal ends. This is a new role within the business and an excellent opportunity for the right individual to take ownership of a key area of production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating the Doosan XL400 with the Fanuc operating system
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Breaking down drawings into machineable components (tubes and journal ends)
- Writing CNC programs confidently and accurately
- Maintaining an organised and efficient workflow
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner
- Strong understanding of Fanuc programming
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and high standards
- Organised, reliable and able to work independently
Hours & Pay:
- 4.5-day week - 39 hours (Monday–Friday)
- 11:45pm finish on Fridays
- Hourly rate: £20.00 – £22.50, depending on experience and skillset
- Overtime available at time and a third
