We are seeking to appoint a Presbytery Support Manager to join the Faith Action Team, who will work alongside Presbyteries across the Church of Scotland as they plan for sustainable ministry and mission.
The postholder will support Faith Action's responsibilities in relation to Presbytery resourcing including leading on all aspects of Presbytery Planning and associated church legislation as it relates to Faith Action and working collaboratively with the Office of the General Assembly, the Assembly Trustees and the General Trustees to facilitate the implementation of Presbytery Mission Plans locally.
Bringing your knowledge of church legislation, structures and governance you will advise, guide and ensure compliance on Presbytery Mission Plans to help deliver ministry and mission at a local level. Through shaping and translating Church-wide policy into meaningful local practice you will contribute to effective ministry resourcing.
With your understanding of the ministries of the Church of Scotland you will also have responsibilities for our Ordained Local Minsters and Readers alongside involvement with our support strategy.
The role focuses on building trusted relationships as we navigate change together so you will be approachable, committed with a positive and solutions focused approach.
