We are seeking a Lay Ministry Administrator to join our Ministry Discipleship team at Peninsular House, Portsmouth. This full-time role (35 hours per week, fixed term for 3 years) reports to the Lay Ministry Discipleship Officer Lead for Revive. The successful candidate will be a practising Christian from a denomination within Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.

This role is central to our vision of revitalising communities and engaging younger generations, aiming to double the number of children and young disciples in our churches through initiatives such as REVIVE, REVITALISE, and RENEW. You will support the development of lay ministry training and resources, launch a new Commissioned Lay Ministry (CLM) program, and assist in creating a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for accessible learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering lay ministry programs.
  • Managing candidate enrollment and safeguarding checks.
  • Overseeing the functionality of our learning portal.

Strong communication, organisational skills, attention to detail, and IT proficiency are essential. Experience with Moodle or similar platforms, as well as knowledge of the Church of England, is desirable.

Salary: £26,025.00 Per Annum

Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme included.
