We are launching a major diocesan initiative to invest in children and young people, supporting up to 22 parish‑based projects. To help ensure these roles and ministries thrive long‑term, we are seeking a Sustainability / Business Manager to work with parishes to build financial and people sustainability.

About The Role

  • Support parishes to develop fundraising strategies and sustainability plans
  • Identify and prepare grant funding applications
  • Deliver training on fundraising and volunteer development
  • Monitor funding progress across all project posts
  • Share best practice and ensure compliance with fundraising and data regulations
  • Work closely with diocesan teams, clergy, volunteers, and project staff

About You

  • Proven experience in fundraising and successful grant applications
  • Strong organisational, financial planning, and communication skills
  • Experience working with volunteers or community groups
  • Integrity, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships
  • An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the Church of England context
  • Flexibility to travel across the Diocese and work occasional evenings/weekends
