The Bishop of Hereford seeks a highly organised, detail orientated and trustworthy Finance PA to join a warm and supportive team, providing essential administrative and financial support to enable the Bishop to carry out his ministry effectively. This is a varied and rewarding part‑time role (16 hours per week), primarily home‑based, with occasional visits to Hereford. Working closely with the Bishop, his Chaplain, and the wider team, you will play a key role in managing financial processes with accuracy, discretion, and care.
Responsibilities
- Administer bank and credit card accounts
- Process invoices and expenses
- Oversee multiple accounts, including discretionary and charitable funds
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial returns
- Coordinate with organisations such as the Church Commissioners and Charity Commission
- Ensure compliance requirements are met
- Contribute to budgeting and financial planning
Qualifications
- Proven administrative experience
- Strong financial skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships
