The Diocese of Exeter is seeking a highly organised and proactive Enabling Mission Administrator to support the work of our Mission and Ministry Team. Based at The Old Deanery in Exeter, this part‑time role (29 hours per week) provides essential administrative support to the Diocesan Mission Enabler and the Initial Ministerial Formation Officer, helping mission initiatives flourish and ensuring high‑quality training for curates and Licensed Lay Ministers.

You will assist in resourcing and coordinating new missional communities, working closely with Local Mission Enablers and colleagues across the diocese. The role also involves supporting the delivery of ministerial training by tracking curate progress, planning and hosting events, and responding to enquiries. Social media promotion, collaboration with the Learning Platform Co‑ordinator, and occasional evening and weekend work are all part of the rhythm of this varied and purposeful role.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, managing multiple tasks, and contributing to the mission of the Church of England in Devon. You will be part of a supportive team committed to enabling ministry and encouraging new expressions of Christian community across the diocese.

  • Salary: £21,388.80 per annum depending on experience (calculated on a pro rata basis by reference to a full-time equivalent of £26,736.00)
  • Hours: Part-time (29 hours per week)
  • Location: The normal place of work will be the diocesan offices in Exeter with the possibility of some homeworking.
