About the department The Church of England Pensions Board provides retirement services to those who serve or work for the Church. It is a regulated pension fund and registered charity, supporting over 43,000 people with their pensions. As a global leader in ethical and responsible investment, we manage the £ pension savings entrusted to us to grow members’ pensions and to promote systemic and lasting change across industries and sectors. The Board also supports 2,500 retired clergy with housing, managing a national portfolio of 1,200 rented homes and Community Living options. About the role This role is to deliver a new portfolio of products and services supporting clergy with financial and retirement planning, launching in 2026 as part of our ‘Enabling Choice’ package. Working within the Portfolio Management Office, you will support delivery from definition to implementation, collaborating with colleagues across the Pensions Board, senior leaders, and managers. Funding has been secured for this three-year programme, including establishing a new Support Hub, regional support services, and an online portal. You will help initiate, define, plan, deliver, and review initiatives, focusing on monitoring delivery, managing dependencies, risks, and opportunities. We seek someone with a proven track record in customer-facing and transformational project delivery, proficient in project management tools and adaptable in approach. What you\’ll be doing Enable delivery of new products and services, ensuring effective implementation and stakeholder support. Support the launch of new services from design through to staged ‘go live’, prioritizing customer needs. Support the stand-up of new services, including: Tracking milestones, tasks, and dependencies. Creating detailed project plans. Identifying risks and mitigation strategies. Facilitating workshops to define systems and customer journeys. Developing monitoring and reporting approaches. Supporting process adoption and change management. Monitoring delivery pace, risks, and challenges. Resolving issues and embedding continuous improvement. Assessing change impacts, especially on existing services. Working with senior leaders to define roles and expectations. Developing integrations across teams for seamless customer experience. Establishing KPIs, tracking performance, and reporting to leadership. Managing risks proactively. What we offer A salary of £59,248 per year, with pension contributions between 8-15%, plus matching contributions up to 3%. 25 days annual leave, increasing to 30 days within five years, plus bank holidays and additional days.
