Could you help shape the spiritual life of a brand-new Cambridge community?
The Diocese of Ely is seeking a full-time, incumbent-level priest to pioneer Christian community in Cambridge East, the nationally significant new development emerging from the former Cambridge City Airport.
Working from the new Temporary Community Centre, you will:
- pioneer new forms of church, worship and community;
- live incarnationally within a rapidly developing neighbourhood;
- build relationships with residents, developers and community partners;
- work alongside St Andrew’s Cherry Hinton and All Saints, Teversham, rooted in the sacramental life of the parish;
- help shape the Diocese’s wider approach to mission and community development across Cambridge East.
You will be part of a supportive parish team – a pioneer, but not a lone ranger.
The post comes with a three-bedroom house plus study, within walking distance of the development, with funding to rent or purchase a home within Cambridge East in due course.
A rare opportunity to help shape a new community from the beginning – and to discover what church might become in a new place.
Come and help shape Cambridge East.
