As Southwark Cathedral’s Audience Development Coordinator, you will monitor visitor numbers and build new audiences. You will lead impact and evaluation, developing strategies to attract new visitors, engage existing audiences, and improve the visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new audiences and deepen engagement with existing audiences through social media, email, and events.
- Work with the Head of Engagement to improve the visitor experience, encouraging repeat visits and word‑of‑mouth.
- Collaborate with the Communications Team to create and manage marketing campaigns.
- Attend public events and programming to gather relevant data and audience feedback.
- Build creative and engaging forms of visitor feedback to capture qualitative and quantitative data.
- Work with the Engagement team to plan and execute audience‑led programming such as concerts, lectures, or tours.
- Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of audience development efforts.
- Collaborate with other departments (marketing, fundraising, education) to align with the Cathedral’s vision.
- Manage budgets related to audience development in partnership with the Head of Engagement and senior management.
- Develop an audience development strategy and evaluation framework that aligns with the Cathedral’s goals.
- Lead on data and feedback analysis, building reports for stakeholders and the Senior Leadership Team.

- Experience collecting and analysing qualitative and quantitative data.
- Background working within a cultural, commercial, or visitor attraction setting.
- Customer‑focused, passionate about excellent engagement.
