The Worship Pastor (South) brings leadership to the Gas Street South Worship team & culture, helping to run, coordinate and pastor the worship team at Gas Street South. They will regularly lead worship at GS South and also work flexibly across all Gas Street locations when required to serve at those gatherings. They will also lead the Worship School across Gas Street locations. This role would also sit under the Senior Pastor in the coordination of Gas Street Music (GSM).
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading worship regularly to an excellent standard in line with Gas Street Values
- Setting a strong culture of worship within the team and the Church
- Recruit, develop and raise up leaders and team members
- Attend & help facilitate the running of monthly team nights
- Develop the musicality of Worship, including Team and Worship School
- Play and lead worship regularly across different gatherings, locations & events
- Holding band rotas for GS South (including Sundays and any other midweek groups or events)
- Build the team; recruiting and integrating new team members
- Work with the Lead Worship Pastor to ensure the culture of worship at Gas Street is consistent across locations
- Contribute to wider discussion and direction on worship at the church
- Contribute to Worship department meetings
- Coordinating production for Sundays & events at GS South
Gas Street Music Coordinator (2 days)
- Outwork the vision of Gas Street Music under the direction of the Senior Pastor
- Project management of GSM projects, songwriting retreats, releases, events and tours
- Manage the GSM calendar, events, tours, recording sessions, and release schedules
- Ensure all relevant contracts and licences are in place
- Manage the GSM budget, providing regular reports on financials, resources, and engagement metrics
- Help identify, mentor, and nurture emerging worship and songwriting talent
- Encourage spiritual formation and creative growth within the GSM community
Worship School (1 day)
- Coordinate the launch of the Worship School
- Lead the Worship School, pastoring students and ensuring a varied curriculum and development opportunities
- Support with the wider Worship Central ministry in the initial phase of development
Additional ad-hoc projects & support as agreed with the line manager & Exec Team.

- There is a genuine occupational requirement that the post-holder be a practicing Christian
Working requirements:
- Full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week)
- 25 days annual leave (pro rata)
- Statutory bank holidays
- Three additional days at Christmas
- Three retreat days across the year (one per term)
- Attend Gas Street Church
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Evening and weekend flexibility as required
