Position Overview
We are seeking a Surgical Care Practitioner with strong Robotics experience to join our Theatre team at The Christie Private Care in Manchester, rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.
Role Details
- Location: Manchester, The Christie Private Care
- Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
- Shifts: Monday – Saturday, Permanent
- Salary: Competitive Band 8 salary + shift allowance, with a £5,000 Golden Hello (T&Cs apply)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled assistance as a Robotic SCP
- Lead the scrub team as required, working closely with the Scrub Lead
- Perform the Surgical First Assistant role as necessary
- Participate in patient assessment and perioperative care
- Lead the teaching and development of the operating room team
- Participate in quality improvement and audits
- Contribute to the development of the robotic service at The Christie Private Care
- Facilitate service delivery and staffing allocation in collaboration with colleagues
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner (Essential)
- Registration as a healthcare professional (e.g., nurse or ODP) with a related honours degree
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner
