The Chislehurst Partnership consists of two busy doctor's surgeries based in the heart of Chislehurst. We are looking to recruit fixed-term maternity cover administrator to join our existing friendly, hardworking team.
We have a specialised team that are primarily responsible for the registering of new patients, amending/deducting patients, deaths, out of area/temporary patients, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring patient information is entered and updated in line with NHS and practice procedures.
This role is on a fixed term maternity cover contract from Nov 2026 - Oct 2027.
= 12 hours per week
Tuesday, Thursday PM and Friday. Hours of the day can be flexible. This role is based in the practice.

Main duties of the job
Registration workflow management including amendments and deductions.
FP69 Sending texts
PCSE Online: A digital platform used by healthcare practitioners to track patient medical records -Ordering supplies, requesting labels, reporting temporary patients
Requesting documents from previous surgery for notes that have not been received GP2GP
Monitor and action workflow manager tasks including completing daily routine checklist
Deaths deduction, sending condolence card and adding to RIP spreadsheet
30 day letters OOAR Registrations, requesting labels
Deductions finding notes, sending back, printing documents if needed
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and external agencies as required
- Ensure compliance with NHS regulations, practice policies, and GDPR requirements
- Support the wider team with general clerical duties when needed

Our clinical system is EMIS which integrates with AccuRx to communicate with our patients. Home visiting is supported by our practice Paramedic and Advanced Nurse Practitioner who work alongside the Bromley Healthcare District Nursing team. We are part of a PCN which has several additional practitioners including Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers, a Mental Health Practitioner, First Contact Physiotherapist and Paramedic.

Experience
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
- Previous experience in a healthcare, NHS, or administrative setting
- Competent IT skills, including experience using patient management systems (e.g., EMIS) and Microsoft Office.
