We are looking for teachers who “Dare to be different” to join us. The Chiltern School is an Area Special School in Central Bedfordshire. Our school offers all-through education from 3-19 years. Our experienced staff provide stimulating learning opportunities addressing the needs of pupils with moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties. Many of our pupils have associated needs which include communication and social interaction, physical, sensory and medical.

The Chiltern School aspires to be a forward thinking ‘Centre of Excellence’, where we put the pupils at the heart of all decision making. We endeavour to take a holistic approach, valuing the whole child. Our curriculum is innovative and bespoke so teaching our young people involves a variety of different skills.

Due to our expanding size and increasing numbers of pupils, we have vacancies within our secondary age phase for teachers to work with pupils who follow an informal curriculum and have complex learning, communication and sensory needs. If you are passionate about education, have high aspirations for young people and you are an outstanding teacher with the ability to engage pupils in motivating and creative learning, come and join our talented team.

Qualifications
