The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

This role sits within our Youth Impact Domain. Your role will be to work regionally alongside the Police, Social Care and a range of other partners in the public, private and third sector to help prevent and improve responses to all forms of child exploitation (financial, criminal, sexual exploitation).

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive forward systems change work to better prevent and improve responses to child exploitation and abuse.
  • This involves collaborative learning using a variety of delivery approaches including facilitation, training, resource creation, promising practice advice and guidance to explore new approaches to preventing and tackling child exploitation and abuse.

Essential Skills

  • Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to manage and drive forward own workload.
  • Ability to consider evidence of a problem and be critical and innovative in producing solutions with partners.
  • Strong communication, teamwork and motivation skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging workshops/presentations with confidence and passion both in-person and virtually.
  • Ability to produce a range of written material.
  • Ability to represent the organisation in a professional, competent and credible manner.
  • Ability to develop partnerships and support collaboration to facilitate and enable problem solving, innovation and adaptation.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Strong project management skills including an ability to use online planning tools.

Essential Knowledge

  • Current children's and young people's legislation and safeguarding best practice guidance and procedures.
  • Sound understanding of the issues facing young people at risk of exploitation, trafficking and modern slavery.
  • Knowledge and understanding of child and adolescent development and the impact of trauma.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant national, regional and local organisations, strategies and initiatives.
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion and anti‑racist ways of working.
  • Knowledge of problem solving and systems change approaches.

Essential Experience

  • Multi‑agency working, for example with statutory and voluntary sector partners.
  • Managing effective and innovative projects or services for vulnerable children.
  • Meeting deadlines and targets.
  • Developing and delivering learning sessions or problem‑solving workshops to different audiences.
  • Creating positive change in a service or organisation.
  • Communicating to a range of audiences at all levels of seniority, through a range of different mediums.

Desirable Skills and Competencies

  • Familiarity with local and regional police, local authority and/or health structures.
  • Experience of multi‑agency work at a strategic level.
  • Working within a geographically dispersed team.
  • Experience of incorporating children and young people's voices to inform systems change work with partners.
