Contract:12 month fixed-term contract
Part time:21 hours per week
Location:Flexible within the UK(remote, hybrid or working from our London Old Street office or one of our regional offices). Occasional travel will be required.
Salary:£18,360(21 hour week, pro-rated from £30,600)
Flexible workinghours: 8-4, 9-5, 10-6 or in between (agreed with your manager)

About the role:
We are looking for a creativewriterandempathetic listenerto join our passionate, dynamic teamwho’sexcited about participation.This role will embed and amplify the voice of young people acrossourcommunications.Working closely with our colleagues in youth impact, youth voice, creative, fundraising, campaigns and others across the organisation, you will gather powerful and compelling stories from those with lived experience, using a trauma informed, person-centred approach.
Thisrole sits within our StorytellingTeamwithin our Social Impact Domain which works to engage our audiences and inspire social change across society.As an experienced Story and Voice Specialist, your rolewill be toempowerchildren and young people andothers to become storytellers, supporting them to be comfortable, confident and in control of sharing their experiences.
The stories we tell are vital to achieving our mission, helping to change socialattitudesand urging people totake actionwith young people, by offering their time, theirmoneyor their voice to our cause.
Skills and competencies:
In order to be successful in this role:
- You have experience conducting sensitive trauma-informed interviews with young peopleand adults
- You areskilledatwriting long-form stories that focus on the storyteller leading the narrative in their own words.
- You’llbeeager toamplify stories with our colleagues across the organisation, stewardingthe content through campaigns,weband social content, and much more.
- You’replugged in to contemporary storytelling techniques andhave anearfor a great narrative.
- You'llhave the ability to build relationships quicklyand warmlyto ensure trust.

Interviews: Interviews will be held in two stages. The first round will be held over w/c 5th October 2026 and w/c 12th October 2026. The second round will be held with young people shortly afterwards.
