This role sits within our Data Protection, Records and Archive team within the Legal and Governance Department. The team manages the data protection, records management and archive services for The Children’s Society. Your role will support the Archive Manager with the operation, development and promotion of The Children’s Society Archive, TYPE OF PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR/ WHAT’S EXPECTED OF THEM We are currently looking for an archivist to join our dynamic, ambitious team. A key part of this role will be your ability to undertake a wide range of activities and processes to deliver an effective archive service for the organisation. KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES In order to be successful in this role, you must have: -A postgraduate qualification in Archives and Records Management -Experience of working in archives and using archival collection management systems such as CALM -Experience of appraising and cataloguing large archive collections in accordance with ISAD(G) -Attention to detail and be able to work quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy -Good communication skills, written and verbal -Ability to work independently and as part of a team collaborating with others as needed.
