The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

Our client is a major player in the international insurance sector for major high hazard sites and world scale assets including refineries, petrochemical, LNG and oil & gas plant, marine facilities and so on. Enjoying exceptional levels of growth supporting EMEA, their City office is looking to recruit another experienced chemical or mechanical engineer offering significant levels of operational/production/technical/maintenance experience of the refinery, petrochemical or hydrocarbons sectors, ideally acquired with a downstream operator.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Condition surveys and assessments that describe site operations and processes.
  • Evaluation of plant integrity and reliability.
  • Analysis of loss prevention/mitigation issues and opportunities.
  • Undertaking software-based risk reviews.
  • Preparing reports for underwriters.
  • Business interruption assessments extending to the analysis of loss consequent on major incidents such as explosions, natural catastrophe, and plant failure.

About 70 days travel annually can be expected throughout EMEA. Foreign language skills, particularly Arabic and French, would be very welcome. Our client is looking for substantial experience of COMAH regulated plant operations, production or maintenance and is not seeking design or technical safety engineering candidates at this stage.
