We are looking to appoint a reliable, caring, adaptable, motivated, and enthusiastic Midday Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Barnes Farm Primary School. This is a permanent part‑time role, working 5 hours a week (Monday–Friday, 12.15 pm–1.15 pm). Salary is Scale 2 Point 4 – 5: £2,839–£2,884 per week (£25,185 – £25,583 FTE).
Responsibilities:
- Follow guidance from the Midday Supervisor and assist with managing the dining hall to create a calm and enjoyable lunch for pupils.
- Oversee pupils in the playground, ensuring a safe and happy play time experience.
- Ensure first aid protocols are followed, including adherence to record‑keeping.
- Implement the safeguarding and Behaviour Policy consistently.
- Communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues and parents.
- Use personal initiative to support pupils and maintain classroom standards.
- Creatively manage and implement stimulating activities and play for lunchtime, in collaboration with other midday colleagues.
