Join Our Team as an HR Assistant

Salary: £26,824 - £27,254 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

This isn’t just admin – it’s the beating heart of our HR function. You’ll play a key role in supporting staff across multiple schools, helping ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment to exit.
  • Manage HR records, contracts and compliance checks (DBS, right to work, references).
  • Act as the first point of contact for staff HR queries.
  • Maintain data accuracy across systems, including the Single Central Register.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes, onboarding and probation tracking.
  • Support appraisals, reporting and HR projects.

Requirements

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator who enjoys working with people.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • Strong IT skills – Microsoft Office essential.
