This very busy independent all-day café/restaurant situated in one of London's parks is looking for an experienced pastry chef/baker to support the Head Baker on the daytime bakery operation. The company operates 3 busy sites, and the bakery produces sourdoughs, ciabattas, cakes, traybakes, muffins and pastries for all 3 cafes. This includes the eat-in and food-to-go counters and sourdough pizzas in the summer months. The night baker is responsible for most of the bread production. The bakery is air-conditioned and professionally equipped with Chandley ovens, Ferneto Mixers & JAC Slicer etc.
You will be working in a small, friendly team, and will help with all aspects of the production and efficient running of the bakery, including:
- meeting daily production targets for all 3 sites
- developing and managing recipes and production
- overseeing accurate and clear packing
- stock management and ordering
- new product development
- staff training
- food safety and hygiene
Required skills and experience:
- passion and enthusiasm for pastry, bread and quality ingredients
- previous experience in a similar bakery or patisserie

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable pastry chef/baker with good commercial bakery experience and a can-do attitude to work. Capable of working in a small hands-on team delivering a high standard product; in touch with responsible food provenance and industry trends.
5-day week
Daytime only
Salary: £16 to £20 an hour depending on experience
