We are a dedicated apprenticeship training provider looking for a skilled chef or an experienced hospitality educator to join our team. This position is open to both qualified educators and experienced hospitality professionals seeking to transition into teaching. If you have a strong technical background and the right approach for developing apprentices, we will fully fund and support your teacher training qualification.

The Role

This is a highly varied role that extends beyond the kitchen. Your week will consist of a mixture of hands‑on practical training and theory‑based sessions, alongside dedicated time for the planning and preparation of your teaching activities. You will be responsible for mentoring, teaching, and assessing apprentices, ensuring they develop the high‑level practical skills and industry knowledge required to succeed. While our largest cohort consists of chefs, we deliver training across all hospitality standards—including bakers, butchers, and front‑of‑house professionals.

For industry professionals transitioning into education

This role offers a structured schedule away from split shifts and late finishes. You bring your industry expertise, and we provide the necessary training to teach effectively.

For established educators

This is an opportunity to join a provider that focuses on high‑quality training and equips its staff with excellent resources and support.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience working in professional kitchens or broader hospitality settings with a high standard of technical skills.
  • Experience in wider hospitality disciplines (baking, butchery, or front‑of‑house) is an advantage and/or a willingness to support apprentices in these areas.
  • The communication skills, patience, and empathy required to train and assess apprentices.
  • An existing teaching/assessor qualification, OR the willingness to complete a fully funded qualification with our support.
  • A valid UK driving licence for approved business travel.

The Package

  • Hours: 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required.
  • Annual Leave: 33 days total paid leave (25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays).
  • Travel: Paid mileage for approved business travel.
  • Development: Paid‑for teacher training qualification and ongoing educational and industry specific CPD.
  • Equipment Provided: Company laptop, mobile phone and uniform.
