Providing vision and leadership for the charity’s fundraising and grant applications, to achieve the mission and goals of the two projects Collaboration for Kids (CFK) and Food Addiction Solutions (FAS).
By volunteering with CHC, you will play a key part in improving the food environment and wellbeing in communities, through creativity and collaboration.
What are we looking for?
- Fundraising and grants experience within the UK
- Working experience of UK legislation, charity regulations and key funding bodies in the UK
- Formal Financial qualifications and/or training as a Finance Manager or an Accountant
- Have a visible passion for healthy lifestyle and for engaging in charitable work to contribute to improved public health, especially of children and adolescents
- Experience of working within the voluntary sector with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to establish and maintain effective working and collaborative relationships
- International fundraising knowledge and experience (desirable)
- Have a real enthusiasm for collaboration, team building, standards of excellence, innovation, continuous improvement and constructive change
- Be a team player who is positive, ‘hands-on’ and able to get the best out of a team
What will you be doing?
As Head of Fundraising you will help formulate the core fundraising strategy as The CHC seeks to extend its reach within the community. This role is critical as the funds will ensure the ongoing sustainability of the programmes that the charity is developing to yield better health outcomes for children and families over the forthcoming years.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies: Create and execute comprehensive strategies to meet the funding needs of the CFK and FAS projects, including setting SMART goals and leading the team to achieve these objectives.
- Build and manage a high‑performing team: Recruit, train, and support a skilled team with the necessary resources to effectively pursue fundraising and grant opportunities, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of the projects.
- Foster and maintain strategic relationships: Engage with potential partners, donors, and supporters to build and strengthen relationships, creating opportunities for collaboration and securing financial support for the projects.
- Defining the strategy, setting SMART goals and leading the Funding & Grants Team(s) within The CHC, as appropriate, to achieve the funding needs of the two projects CFK and FAS, based on their goals.
