Responsibilities:
Devon County Council (DCC) is looking for an inspirational individual to lead and direct the Neighbourhood Highway Group. This role is pivotal within the Highways and Traffic Management service, shaping the strategic direction of critical services that directly impact communities and the travelling public. The successful applicant will bring clarity of vision, a strong professional commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to empower others. A key part of the role is liaising with elected members and their communities (e.g. via Town and Parish Councils) to drive collaboration across teams and partners, ensuring we deliver a safe, efficient and sustainable highway network. The postholder will be required to work a minimum of 3 days per week in the relevant DCC office.
Qualifications:
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
