As a key member of the CISI Business Development team, you will look to expand on your expert knowledge and experience of wealth management and financial advice firms to ensure we deepen existing relationships with firms in the sector. You will bring industry connections and enjoy driving new business development within the profession, expanding our membership base and growing revenue streams from new and established clients for the CISI.
Key Responsibilities- Client Relationship Management: Develop existing key member firms to reinforce CISI’s offerings with the goal of becoming a trusted partner, deepening relationships and expanding membership within the firms. This will entail developing a network of contacts, including at a senior level, within organisations. Specifically, but not exclusively, you will focus on Wealth Managers and advisers, seeking to fully understand their challenges and requirements and help position CISI as the professional body of choice for the sector.
- Lead Generation & Membership Growth: Proactively identify and engage potential members and corporate partners within the financial sector through targeted outreach, networking and strategic campaigns. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects, converting leads into active members and qualifications sales. Collaborate with Marketing and Global Learning teams to design initiatives and products that attract new audiences and promote CISI’s value proposition.
- Internal Collaboration & Intelligence Gathering: Work closely with the Customer Support team and account managers to gather up-to-date account intelligence, including product usage, client feedback and emerging needs. Share insights across teams to support cross-functional initiatives and ensure client satisfaction. Become an internal expert and advocate for our Wealth offering. Support broader Client Relationship Management functions – including, but not limited to, supporting regional committees and forums.
- 5+ years’ experience in a Client Relationship Management role.
- 5+ years’ experience with Wealth Management/Financial Advice firms.
- Experience chairing meetings.
- Experience with networking in the Wealth Management sector.
- Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise your own workload and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills; you will be liaising with external firms and networking at events.
- Strong IT skills – word, excel, and familiarity with databases.
- Attention to detail and able to work to deadlines.
- Strong presentation skills.
We offer a competitive remuneration package, which includes: 7.5% company pension contribution into a personal pension, in addition to your own contribution of 1.5% via salary exchange, life insurance and income protection insurance, a Wellness Allowance of up to £30 a month, 25 days annual leave and additionally the Institute closes for three days between Christmas and New Year. A travel allowance which has a value of £2,500 per annum. Hybrid working arrangements (minimum of three days in the office).
