Top 100 Law firm based in Southampton seeks an experienced IT Desktop Support Engineer to join the IT Support Team. This role provides 2nd line support to our business operations teams to ensure that our IT systems, infrastructure and applications are operating in a way that allows people to do their best work.
Core Duties will include:
- Operating a predominantly cloud-based environment, with a good physical infrastructure presence.
- Blending day-to-day troubleshooting with more project-based work as we continue to unify our infrastructure/systems.
- Troubleshooting virtual desktop environments (Citrix) and providing assistance in areas such as dormant sessions or connectivity to other devices on our large regional physical network.
- Setting up Users in Azure Active Directory, creating and editing Group policies, and setting/changing Permissions.
- Managing InTune iOS through Company Portal.
- Deploying InTune AutoPilot for HP laptops running Windows 10.
- Providing networking support including Patch Cables and VPN support.
- Supporting Printer Hardware.
- Providing Hardware / PC support / iPad / Tablet support.
- Handling Routing / Switching.
- Managing Windows Server tasks such as File Permissions and New Accounts.
The successful candidate must have previous experience gained within an IT Desktop Support role. Candidates with experience at 2nd line are preferred, but those completing ‘first time fix’ at first line, ready to step into their first second line role, will also be considered. Experience within the legal sector is advantageous, but candidates from other professional services sectors will also be considered.
