We are working with a leading Apple Value Added Reseller based in Manchester who, due to growth, are looking to hire an Education Sales Specialist/ Education Account Manager. As Education Sales Specialist/ Account Manager, you will work across the UK, and be based from one of the offices one day a week, either Reading, Nottingham or Manchester. You’ll primarily be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing Higher Education (HE) accounts as well as identifying new business opportunities across HE. You’ll also consult on IT projects, sell solutions and services (primarily Apple).
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing and developing a portfolio of higher education customers, building strong and sustainable relationships over the long term.
- Developing relationships across universities, including with IT leaders, procurement teams, finance, digital transformation teams, teaching and learning teams, professional services and other relevant stakeholders.
- Understanding each customer's strategic objectives, current technology environment and future priorities.
- Consulting with customers around areas including digital transformation, device strategy, infrastructure, lifecycle management, accessibility, sustainability, teaching and learning and emerging technologies including AI.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced Higher Education Account Manager/ Client Manager/ Consultant, who has worked within the IT channel, ideally for an IT reseller, VAR or MSP. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has strong experience selling Apple, however other IT hardware such as computing or interactive displays etc. will be considered.
In addition:
- We are looking for a self-driven, motivated individual who loves creating and evangelizing technology solutions.
- A strong sales professional who has sold into the education sector and understands how that market works.
- You’ll have an understanding of IT hardware, services and solutions and be able to articulate this across your customer range.
- Solid experience working with senior stakeholders as well as IT Managers and procurement is required.
- Strong customer facing presentation skills are required as well as strong communication skills.
