Overview: My client is a leading mid‑market CCTV provider, working with a wide range of customers throughout London and the South. The business is owned and managed by a team with many years of experience, and due to sustained organic growth, they are looking for an excellent Security Systems Engineer to join their friendly, established team.
Commutable locations: London, Surrey, South Essex, Kent
Job Specification: The Security Systems Engineer is a hands‑on role responsible for the call outs, installation, commissioning of CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems. The role involves both planned works and reactive fault response across customer sites, ensuring systems are reliable, compliant, and fit for purpose.
Requirements: The focus of this position is to install CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems on new and existing sites. In addition:
- Fault Finding - Responding to reactive service calls and emergency faults
- CCTV Systems - Installing CCTV cameras and configuring IP cameras, NVRs/DVRs/Servers
- Offer practical recommendations for system improvements
About You: Proven experience in both installation and servicing of:
- CCTV systems
- Access control systems
- Intruder alarm systems
Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
Preferred Qualifications:
- ECS / CSCS card
- IPAF, PASMA, or similar site safety certifications
- Manufacturer‑specific training or certifications
- Experience working under NSI standards
