A growing UK technology distributor is looking for a Presales Engineer to join its technical team, with a strong focus on Unified Communications. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with sales teams, reseller partners and suppliers, helping to design solutions, run demos, deliver training and provide advanced technical support. It’s well suited to someone who enjoys mixing deep technical work with customer-facing activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on pre-sales technical support, including solution design, product demonstrations, and partner consultations.
- Deliver post-sales 2nd-line technical support, troubleshooting complex UC and networking issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners, acting as a trusted technical contact.
- Deliver technical training, webinars, and certification courses to internal teams and customers.
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge-base articles, and the development of value-added services.
Requirements:
- This role suits a technically strong, customer-focused professional who enjoys supporting partners with solution design, pre-sales expertise, and troubleshooting.
- It requires clear communication skills, hands-on Unified Communications knowledge, and a collaborative approach to working with sales and suppliers.
- Knowledge of IP-PBX (cloud or on-prem), IP phones and DECT.
- Good networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls).
- Comfortable analysing logs, SIP traces or packet captures.
- Confident communicator with experience in customer-facing roles.
- Experience delivering training or technical presentations.
- Right to work in the UK (no restrictions of Visa and work permits) and a full UK driving licence.
