About the Role
The Channel Company is looking for a hands‑on Senior Audience Growth Specialist to directly grow and activate our audiences across new and emerging media platforms — including YouTube, social channels, WhatsApp communities, newsletters, events, and owned platforms. This is a doer role, not a people management role. You will personally design, execute, test, optimise and scale audience acquisition activity end to end. A key outcome is growing permissioned first-party identity across platforms to strengthen our Unified Partner ID/identity graph.
What You’ll Do
- Execute audience acquisition across YouTube, social platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, X, Instagram), WhatsApp communities, newsletters, and events.
- Build, launch and optimise acquisition funnels - from first touch through repeat engagement.
- Grow high-quality, engaged audiences, not vanity metrics.
- Own and Improve the End‑to‑End Audience Journey.
- Map, test and refine the full audience journey across channels and touchpoints.
- Identify friction points in discovery, registration, opt‑in and engagement - and fix them.
- Continuously experiment with formats, messaging, CTAs and distribution strategies.
- Set up and optimise landing pages, forms, registrations and conversion paths.
- Work directly in CRM, marketing automation, analytics and community platforms.
- Use AI‑enabled tools to scale testing, insight generation and personalisation.
- Grow opt‑in, compliant first‑party audiences across owned channels.
- Use behavioural and performance data to inform targeting, segmentation and prioritisation.
- Translate insights into practical changes, not just reports.
- Track performance across channels (growth, conversion, engagement, retention).
- Clearly articulate what’s working, what isn’t, and what you’ll do next.
- Take ownership of outcomes - adjust fast when something isn’t delivering.
- Work closely with marketing, editorial, events and communities’ teams to align execution.
- Influence through expertise and delivery rather than hierarchy.
- Act as a trusted operator who gets things done.
What We’re Looking For
- 4–8 years in audience growth, acquisition, lifecycle or distribution roles.
- Proven hands‑on execution across digital and social channels (especially YouTube, social, messaging/community platforms).
- Experience in B2B media, events, content or community‑led businesses strongly preferred.
- Track record of personally delivering measurable audience growth.
- Deep knowledge of SEO principles, social media algorithms, and CRM platforms.
- Ability to perform cohort and funnel analysis to identify where users are engaged and dropping off.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence editorial and product teams to adopt new data‑driven workflows.
- Doer mentality — you execute, test, iterate and ship.
- Comfortable being accountable for results without managing people.
- Data literate and platform savvy, but focused on action over theory.
- Strong understanding of audience behavior and content‑led growth.
- Pragmatic, resourceful and biased towards progress.
Mindset
- Senior enough to own outcomes, humble enough to roll up sleeves.
- Curious, experimental and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Motivated by impact, not job titles or headcount.
What success looks like
- Grow net new permissioned users (registrations/subscribers) across priority channels.
- Launch and scale 2–3 repeatable acquisition loops (e.g., YouTube → newsletter, events → community, WhatsApp → return visits).
- Establish a weekly test‑and‑learn cadence with clear reporting.
What’s on offer
- 35 hours of work per week.
- Generous holiday package + national bank holidays.
- Opportunity to join a growing business with lots of opportunities to influence.
- Hybrid working available.
- Temporary International Remote Working Opportunities.
- A tailored training and induction plan - we want you to succeed!
- Regular recognition rewards — be recognised and rewarded for day‑to‑day actions where you go above and beyond, and consistently deliver.
- The opportunity to work within a globally diverse team.
- The opportunity to learn new skills in an ever‑changing and adaptable business.
