The Channel Company is looking for an Event Sales Manager to drive commercial success across our UK awards portfolio. This role is focused primarily on table sales and selected sponsorship packages for a portfolio of approximately 10 awards events per year, ranging from exclusive dinners to large-scale industry-leading ceremonies with over 1,200 attendees (including flagship events such as the CRN Channel Awards and Computing's UKIT Awards).
You will be responsible for selling and maximizing revenue across a range of commercial packages, including premium on the night experiences and marketing packages across our industry-leading media brands within the global technology sector.
What You’ll Do
- Own and drive table sales across the full UK awards portfolio.
- Sell event packages and selected sponsorship opportunities, including upselling premium tiers (Silver, Gold, Platinum).
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, including prospecting, outreach, and closing deals.
- Manage multiple events simultaneously, ensuring consistent revenue delivery.
- Conduct high-volume outbound sales via phone and email, engaging both existing clients and new prospects.
- Deliver accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting.
- Maximize revenue by promoting high-value packages, premium table positioning, and integrated marketing visibility across TCC brands.
- Generate excitement and engagement with clients, positioning events as must-attend industry moments.
- Collaborate with internal teams (events, marketing, editorial) to align commercial activity with event strategy.
What We’re Looking For
- ~5 years of experience in awards sales, sponsorship sales, or B2B commercial roles.
- Proven track record of selling tables, packages, or sponsorships for events (ideally awards or B2B conferences).
- Strong ability to sell via phone and email outreach.
- Excellent pipeline management, forecasting, and closing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial mindset with a focus on upselling and maximizing revenue per client.
- Highly organized and results-driven, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in the technology sector is a big plus (not essential).
- German language skills are a big plus (not essential).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and excite clients about event participation.
