The Change Partners are working with an iconic travel brand who are looking for a Head of Sales. You will own and drive new business development across key European markets, with a particular focus on building and managing relationships with tour operators, travel agents, and resellers. Your mission is to expand the distribution network and increase inbound bookings from Continental Europe and key markets: France, Germany and Netherlands.
What you will do:
- Identify, target and secure new resellers and distribution partners across Europe (focus on Netherlands, Germany and France)
- Build and manage a strong trade distribution ecosystem for the brand.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow inbound leisure & group business
- Manage key relationships with tour operators and travel agents
- Work closely with the Calais-based sales team to improve performance and output
- Deliver against ambitious revenue and distribution targets
- Work with wider strategic partners such as coach and other motor/onward travel as well as operators.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in trade sales / business development within travel, tourism or transport (tour operators, travel agents or similar)
- Strong existing network and relationships in the European travel trade
- Fluent in Dutch or German, ideally. French is a strong advantage
- Deep understanding of the European travel distribution landscape specifically the key markets.
- Self-starter with a hardcore sales mentality and a track record of opening new accounts
