The Chancery Rosewood is redefining luxury in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy and reimagined by Sir David Chipperfield. With 144 suites by Joseph Dirand and a collection of dynamic dining and bar spaces, it’s a place where experiences are curated, conversations flow, and every detail matters.

As a Heart of House Supervisor, you will be the driving force behind the smooth and efficient running of our back-of-house operation — leading by example, setting the standard, and ensuring that every associate in your team has the support, direction, and motivation to perform at their best. This role is about far more than overseeing a shift; it is about building a culture of excellence, pride, and professionalism that underpins everything our hotel delivers to guests. If you are a natural leader with high standards, a hands-on approach, and a passion for developing people, we would love to welcome you to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate the Heart of House team across each service period, allocating tasks effectively, maintaining workflow, and ensuring that all areas are clean, organised, and fully operational at all times.
  • Uphold and enforce the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and compliance across all back-of-house areas, conducting regular checks and taking swift corrective action where required.
  • Support the onboarding and ongoing development of associates, delivering on-the-job guidance, coaching in the moment, and fostering a team environment where people feel confident and valued.
  • Monitor equipment, supplies, and chemical usage, placing orders as required, flagging maintenance issues promptly, and ensuring the team has everything needed to operate efficiently and safely.
  • Act as the key point of communication between the Heart of House team and other departments, anticipating operational needs, relaying information clearly, and ensuring a seamless service experience across the hotel.
About You
  • Connection — You build genuine relationships with every associate in your team, taking time to understand individual strengths and motivations, and creating a back-of-house environment where people feel respected, included, and proud of the work they do.
  • Guest-Centricity — You understand that the Heart of House is the engine room of the guest experience, and you hold your team to the standards that allow every department to deliver the exceptional service our guests deserve.
  • Influencing — You lead with confidence and clarity, communicating expectations in a way that inspires rather than instructs — adapting your approach to the individual, the situation, and the pace of service to get the very best from those around you.
  • Integrity — You model the behaviours and standards you expect from others, addressing challenges honestly and fairly, and ensuring that compliance, safety, and professionalism are never compromised regardless of the pressures of service.
  • Drive — You are proactive and energised in your approach, identifying inefficiencies before they become problems, finding solutions under pressure, and consistently raising the bar for yourself and your team.
  • Adaptability — You manage changing priorities with composure and decisiveness, supporting your team through busy periods and unexpected challenges, and ensuring the operation continues to run smoothly whatever the shift brings.
What we can offer you
  • 12 complimentary room nights across The Rosewood Hotel portfolio (friends & family rates also available)
  • Discounts on Food & Beverage
  • Flexible benefits app and monthly allowance to spend on whatever you like
  • Give days - A paid volunteering day of leave annually
  • Up to 16 weeks paid parental leave
  • Birthday day off - A paid day of leave for your birthday
  • Life insurance
  • Enhanced sick pay policy
