The Chancery Rosewood, opening in Summer 2025 and part of the Rosewood Hotel Group, is housed in the iconic former U.S. Embassy on Grosvenor Square, reimagined by British architect Sir David Chipperfield. It will feature 144 spacious suites designed by Joseph Dirand, along with various dining and entertainment spaces to showcase progressive ideas, voices, and expressions.

We are seeking an Impact & Sustainability Manager to lead the transformation of Rosewood Hotel Group into a purpose-led organization committed to enriching both people and places. This role involves translating global ambitions into actionable strategies tailored for The Chancery Rosewood, ensuring the brand\’s distinctiveness while making a positive impact on communities and environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the Social Impact and Sustainability strategy for the hotel.
  • Advise the Managing Director and Executive Committee on social impact and sustainability initiatives; support regional Social Impact Lead by engaging external advisors for impact program reviews.
  • Establish KPIs and regularly measure the social impact of programs.
  • Ensure departmental action plans are aligned with strategic goals, cascading them into SMART objectives, and securing approval and implementation.
  • Gather and consolidate information across departments for reporting and communication purposes.
  • Engage internal teams by communicating the vision and strategy through meetings and various channels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and monitor action plans based on overall strategy.
  • Coordinate efforts to align hotel goals with group ambitions, implementing roadmaps with clear milestones and awareness initiatives.
  • Lead volunteer initiatives, promoting and seeking out volunteering opportunities.
  • Foster stakeholder engagement through awareness and education to cultivate internal ownership of projects.
  • Analyze social impact and sustainability metrics, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Establish partnerships with organizations, individuals, and events to advance social impact goals across departments.
  • Support program development that empowers internal and external communities.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration with local and global sustainability organizations and individuals.
  • Create engaging ways to educate guests and staff on sustainability practices and simple actions they can take.
  • Assist each property in storytelling related to social impact and sustainability efforts.

About You

  • A proven leader in sustainability, preferably with experience in hospitality, luxury brands, or lifestyle sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of environmental legislation, ESG frameworks, and responsible business practices.
  • Excellent communicator capable of inspiring teams, guests, and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to implementation and measurement.
  • Passionate about impact, with a commercial mindset recognizing how responsible business enhances brand loyalty and profitability.
  • Degree in sustainability, environmental science, business ethics, or related field.
