Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Play an active role in curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Be accountable for the learning and achievement of all students across Drama.
  • Have responsibility for the pastoral care of an identified tutor group.
  • Promote the educational success and outstanding outcomes of all our students through strong leadership.
  • Implement school policies and procedures as appropriate in day-to-day activities.
  • Teach Drama at both KS4 and KS5 and oversee the curriculum.
  • Have experience of planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities for identified groups of students at Key Stage 4 and 5.
  • Experience of Edexcel specification is desirable but not essential.
  • Be an experienced leader who can manage staff and support colleagues to achieve targets set.
  • Ensure student achievement is at least in line with expectations.
  • Be accountable for progress and achievement of students.
  • Have experience of a large multicultural school.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Have excellent communication skills and enthuse staff and implement ideas.
