A high-growth, B2C electronics SME with current revenues of £30m is seeking a commercially focused Finance Director. The company is entering its next stage of development, focusing on expanding revenues, strengthening commercial capability, and building operational foundations for long-term growth.
The Finance Director will partner closely with the Managing Director and be an integral member of the leadership team, playing a central role in shaping and delivering the business’s growth strategy.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic and commercial partner to the Managing Director, supporting the growth and development of the business.
- Provide financial leadership across the organisation, ensuring strong control, reporting, planning, and performance management.
- Build and enhance financial processes, improving the quality of insight to support commercial and operational decision-making.
- Partner closely with sales leadership across multiple channels, supporting both existing revenue streams and the development of new channels.
- Drive improved visibility across margins, channel performance, working capital, and operational efficiency.
- Act as a visible leader within the business and a trusted deputy to the Managing Director.
- Lead and develop the finance team while maintaining a hands-on approach where required.
- Support key external relationships with customers, suppliers, and other commercial stakeholders.

You are likely to bring:
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).
- A strong hands-on finance leadership background within a product-led, consumer, retail, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating in multi-channel businesses, ideally across a range of sales channels.
- Strong business partnering capability, with the ability to influence both operational and commercial stakeholders.
- Experience working within a growing or evolving business environment, where building processes and supporting scale is key.
- The credibility and communication skills to build strong relationships internally and externally.
- A visible, proactive, and grounded leadership style, with the ability to operate as a true number two to a Managing Director.
