This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager or Management Accountant looking for a broad, varied role with plenty of responsibility and the chance to contribute to a developing finance function.Our client operates within the technology sector and is expanding its UK operations. They're looking for a practical, approachable Finance Manager who enjoys working closely with the numbers, improving processes and supporting the wider business.The Finance Manager will be responsible for management accounts, month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls, alongside supporting day-to-day transactional finance activities.This position would suit someone who enjoys working in a growing business where no two days are quite the same.### KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* Preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.* Managing month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.* Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.* Overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations and other transactional finance activities.* Maintaining accurate financial records and effective financial controls.* Producing financial reports and providing analysis to support business decisions.* Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and reporting.* Supporting the development and effective use of Microsoft Dynamics.* Working closely with colleagues across the business on financial matters.* Assisting with year-end accounts and audit preparation.### ABOUT YOUWe're looking for a Finance Manager or experienced Management Accountant with a strong technical foundation and a willingness to get involved in the day-to-day running of the finance function.Ideally, you'll have:An accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Assistant Finance Manager.Strong month-end, management accounts and balance sheet reconciliation experience.Experience of budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting.Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics, ideally Dynamics 365 or Business Central.Strong Excel skills and a good understanding of financial systems.Experience working within an SME, operational or growing business environment.A practical, organised approach and the confidence to work independently.Above all, we're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on.
