# Senior Finance Manager (ERP Implementation)Accounting / Finance,Finance ManagerOctober 16, 2026Temporary### Job Description* Temporary* York, North Yorkshire* Posted 8 hours ago* £600 per dayWebsite**CV-Library**Eden Brown Synergy are working with a Government Department who are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager with a vast amount of experience with ERP Implementation experience.The role if full time, to start ASAP and paying £600 Umbrella per day (inside IR35) PAYE options are available.The role can be 40% from home and 60% from any of their hubs (Birmingham, Bristol, London, Newcastle, Reading or York)### The roleAs a Senior Finance Manager (ERP Implementation focused), your main responsibilities will be:Lead and support the successful delivery of a major ERP transformation programme, from design and testing through to go-live and business adoption.Collaborate with stakeholders across government departments to align processes, accounting policies, and drive effective decision-making.Provide expert technical accounting advice in line with IFRS, HM Treasury FReM, Managing Public Money, and wider public sector guidance.Key Responsibilities:ERP SYSTEM: Support the stages required to implement the new ERP system.Local design phase: refine the Common Design to meet their specific operational needs. This is the point where colleagues begin to see how the future processes will work for them in practice.Build phase: configuration starts, data preparation intensifies, and we move from design on paper to a working product. It is one of the most important conversion stages in the journey.System integration testing: test all processes end-to-end, checking that data flows correctly, that integrations operate seamlessly, and that the system behaves as expected.User acceptance testing: support real life users of the system. Identify and deliver training.Cutover phase: complete data migration cycles, readiness checks, and all the operational planning needed to ensure the transition from the old system to the new ERP is safe and controlled.Provide information to process owners to support attendance at meetings with other departments to ensure the department's position is considered.Working with other departments to align accounting policies and processes.Co-ordinating responses from subject matter experts where required.Please only apply if you are an experienced Senior Finance Manager with a vast amount of ERP implementation experience.
