# Finance Manager,October 4, 2026### Job Description* Permanent* Rotherham* £50,000 per annum**CV-Library**Finance Manager - Rotherham - c£50,000SME Environment, Hands-On Finance RoleWe are recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing SME client based in Rotherham, who are looking for a capable and commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of their day-to-day finance function.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, likes variety, and wants to work closely with the Managing Director and wider business. You'll play a key role in keeping the finances running smoothly, providing accurate financial information and helping the business make informed decisions.You'll take responsibility for a broad range of finance activities, including:Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and journalsPreparing monthly management accountsProducing detailed P&L analysis and highlighting key trendsPreparing cash-flow forecastsSupporting month-end processes and reportingProviding financial information and reports to the wider Management TeamIntegrating and maintaining financial data across internal systemProcessing invoices and maintaining accurate financial recordsManaging an accounts administratorCompleting regular bank reconciliationsMonitoring payments, receipts and bank depositsWe're looking for someone who is organised, analytical and commercially aware, with the confidence to take ownership of the finance function.Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar positionStrong knowledge of accounting procedures and financial processesStrong Management and Financial Reporting experienceIT literate including excelThe ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy SME environmentA proactive, flexible approach and willingness to learn new systemsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsThis is more than simply processing invoices and balancing the books.
