Role Description
The Interim Chief Financial Officer will provide strategic financial leadership to client organizations, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting while ensuring robust financial governance. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial reporting and analysis, reviewing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and advising on capital structure and funding needs. The role will partner closely with executive leadership to support business strategy, finance transformation initiatives, and transaction-related activities such as sales, exits, and due diligence. The Interim CFO will also mentor finance teams, improve processes and systems, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Greater London, with a mix of on-site client work and the flexibility to work from home.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Finance and Financial Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial decision-making.
- Proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret, review, and present complex financial information to stakeholders.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data-driven problem-solving.
- Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles (e.g., CFO, Finance Director) within dynamic or transaction-heavy environments.
- Proven track record supporting transactions such as sales, exits, due diligence, and deal preparation and execution.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executive teams and boards.
- Experience leading finance transformation, process improvement, and implementation of finance systems and controls.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent, and significant post-qualification experience.
