About the Job

THE CFO HQ is seeking an experienced Consulting senior Finance professional, ideally a professional who has worked up to the level of a finance director or senior finance controller within the Media and advertising sector to help manage the accounting functions for various clients. This position is initially part-time with an opportunity for full-time employment in the near future. The ideal professional will be fundamental to the delivery of key project finance initiatives, helping to lead, shape the development and delivery of projects with our clients. You must have excellent working knowledge of systems like Media Ocean and Ms Dynamics. This role will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to support senior management teams in developing and executing finance and accounting strategy and also working closely with the senior leadership teams of our clients to help solve important finance and accounting problems. Strategic finance and operational experience is a plus for this position.

As a strategic partner, the successful candidate will be expected to interrogate client briefs and requirements, by challenging and asking the right questions, ensuring that new projects start and hold onto a clear and transparent delivery format.

Responsibilities

  • Drive performance through high quality analysis and decision support, seeking new opportunities to unlock and deliver commercial value.
  • Play a key role in driving the top & bottom-line target numbers to enable the businesses to reach profitability in the short, medium, and long term whilst closely managing burn rate.
  • Board & Investor facing roles, so essentially able to own and communicate the financial performance of projects and businesses.
  • Explore and analyse internal and external data to extract valuable insights; work with data source owners and technology to ensure that key data is accurate, automated, and timely.
  • Help to drive profitable growth, both in the UK & Internationally.
  • Good working knowledge of Media Ocean system, Ms Dynamics, Netsuite.
  • Working closely with the management teams to develop and deliver the overall business strategy.
  • Leading on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and liquidity management for clients.
  • Oversee the timely deliveries of all core accounting and finance services across all jurisdictions.
  • Tightly manage contract governance, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of the terms and conditions of the contract to ensure that all cost elements are appropriately accounted for.
  • Drive high quality financial/commercial performance through understanding the contractual commitments on service lines across the account and ensure alignment and consistency with global contract management practices.

Requirements

  • Experienced FD or FC with prior experience in a Media, Advertising or Private Equity.
  • Strong knowledge of Advertising and Media Systems, Media Ocean, Ms Dynamics, Netsuite, and associated business models.
  • Accounting qualification such as ACA, CA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent. An MBA qualification will also be considered when combined with relevant financial leadership and industry experience.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
  • Previously worked in a high growth environment ideally within a Startup / Scaleup as well as knowing what good looks like in a larger media and advertising business environment.
