This is not a traditional sales leadership role. As Regional Sales Director, you will operate with the mindset of a Managing Director for your region, owning growth, performance and client impact across the East Midlands. You will lead, inspire and grow a high-performing team of experienced Financial Directors, each supporting ambitious £2m–£50m owner-led businesses.
We are looking for a commercially astute, relationship-led sales leader who thrives on autonomy, values long-term partnerships, and is motivated by meaningful impact rather than short-term wins. If you enjoy building something substantial, leading peers rather than managing juniors, and being trusted to make decisions that matter, this role offers both challenge and reward in equal measure.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Growing and leading a high-performing regional business with full P&L-style ownership
- Building trusted, long-term relationships with founders, CEOs and business owners
- Developing, motivating and retaining a team of senior Financial Directors
- Driving sustainable new business growth through networks, referrals and consultative selling
- Working collaboratively with fellow Regional Directors and the Divisional Director
- Acting as a visible ambassador for The CFO Centre within the East Midlands business community
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys the commercial challenge of growth, the intellectual stimulation of strategic conversations, and the satisfaction of seeing clients genuinely succeed.
Who We Are Looking For
You will already be operating at a senior commercial level, likely having led regional, national or divisional growth in a consultative, relationship-driven environment. You will bring:
- A strong commercial mindset with a track record of delivering growth
- Exceptional relationship-building skills and natural credibility with senior decision-makers
- A well-established local network or “black book” across the East Midlands
- High energy, resilience and ambition, with the confidence to work autonomously
- A genuine interest in helping business owners succeed over the long term
Above all, you will care deeply about the quality of your work, the success of your clients, and the people you lead.
What do we do?
We help business owners focus on the numbers that truly matter, not just for growth, but for life. Whether that means scaling, acquisition, exit planning or building a business that supports the lifestyle they want, we partner with clients for the long term.
