Description
Chief Financial Officer role providing professional CFO services to ambitious private businesses valued between £2-50M. The position is self‑employed, offering full autonomy while benefiting from a national network of CFOs.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a portfolio of clients across multiple industries.
- Provide strategic financial leadership—financial planning, reporting, and analysis—to support clients’ growth, acquisition, consolidation, and lifestyle goals.
- Deliver accurate financial statements and insights to help owners, CEOs and MDs make informed decisions.
- Build long‑lasting, genuine relationships with clients, acting as advisor, strategist and trusted partner.
- Collaborate with the regional director and other CFOs to share best practices and support each other.
- Maintain independence and flexibility while meeting client expectations and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a UK chartered accounting institute (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CMA or equivalent).
- Significant experience serving as a CFO or Finance Director (multiple engagements preferred).
- Strong understanding of commercial finance, business strategy and financial management.
- Track record of measurable success in driving business performance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a talent for building and sustaining client relationships.
- Self‑starter with ambition, energy and a proactive, ‘can‑do’ attitude.
