We are looking for a designer to shape how the site reads and how our tools feel to use. The role is remote and unpaid, and takes about a day a month. There is no set day, and we arrange any calls around you.
What difference will you make?
People reach our tools when something has already gone wrong for them, so a confusing page costs them the outcome they came for. A designer makes the guidance easier to follow and the tools easier to finish, and keeps the site usable for people who rely on assistive technology.
What are we looking for?
- Experience designing for the web.
- An eye for plain language, not only for layout.
- An interest in accessibility. You do not have to be an expert in it.
Remote
What will you be doing?
- Design pages and tools for people who are already frustrated.
- Work within the design system we have, and improve it where it falls short.
- Review what we build, for clarity as much as for looks.
