We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Assistant to support the daily operations of our Accounts Department. This role combines hands-on financial tasks with team supervision, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high standards across all accounting functions.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
- Strong knowledge of ledgers, reconciliations, and financial processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to support and supervise a team
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving
What You'll Do:
- Manage purchase and sales ledger activities, including invoicing and payments
- Carry out daily bank and payment reconciliations
- Support credit control and manage outstanding accounts
- Assist with event billing and liaise with internal teams and clients
- Contribute to month-end processes and reporting
- Supervise and support Accounts Assistants, including training and development
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and departmental standards
