We are excited to be recruiting a Maintenance/ Handy Person to join our team at the International Convention Centre Wales (ICC Wales). This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll help maintain our world-class venue to exceptional standards. You’ll carry out a range of tasks including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and decorating work, ensuring a safe, functional and visually impressive environment for our guests and events. Flexibility is key, as you’ll also support maintenance requirements during conferences and events.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and decorating across ICC Wales
- Complete basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
- Maintain the appearance and upkeep of the building
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and company policies
- Respond quickly to issues that may impact guest or staff safety
- Support conferences and events with maintenance cover as needed
- Take responsibility for tools, equipment, and stock control
- Participate in audits, checks, and team briefings
- Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in general maintenance or building work
- Strong DIY and practical skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A flexible approach to support operational and event requirements
- Commitment to quality, safety, and service excellence
