Join the ‘Greatest Story in Hospitality’ by becoming one of our Maintenance ‘Hospitality Heroes’ based at our Celtic Manor Resort. This is an exciting opportunity to develop specialist fire safety and carpentry skills while helping to ensure the safety and compliance of our Resort buildings.
OUR IDEAL HERO WILL HAVE:
- Experience within a maintenance, construction, carpentry or facilities environment
- Good practical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and health & safety practices
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A flexible approach, including responding to emergency situations when required
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and email applications
- A willingness to learn specialist fire safety maintenance skills through training provided
IMPLEMENTING OUR ‘YES, WE CAN’ PHILOSOPHY, YOU WILL:
- Carry out maintenance, repairs and inspections of fire doors, fire stopping systems and fire compartmentation throughout the Resort
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance programmes for fire safety fabric
- Respond to breakdowns and unforeseen maintenance issues
- Identify defects and undertake repair work to ensure continued compliance and safety
- Conduct inspections of plant areas, service spaces and guest areas to identify potential issues
- Maintain accurate records and complete purchase requisitions for required materials
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety and Fire Safety legislation
- Work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure all fire safety systems remain serviceable and compliant
- Participate in training courses and professional development opportunities
- Assist with emergency call outs outside normal working hours when required
- Maintain departmental equipment, tools and stock to the highest standards
