As our Energy & Sustainability Manager, you’ll take the lead in delivering our sustainability vision across The Celtic Collection and ICC Wales. You’ll oversee everything from energy and water management, carbon reduction and waste operations, through to environmental compliance, sustainable design, and the smooth running of our building management systems. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, facilities teams and working groups across every property, ensuring we’re reducing our environmental impact, driving behavioural change, and meeting ambitious sustainability goals aligned with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading our environmental strategy and creating a clear roadmap toward the 2050 Net Zero target.
- Overseeing energy procurement, utilities budgets, waste contracts and performance reporting across all properties.
- Managing carbon reduction initiatives, environmental audits, and ISO 14001 accreditation requirements.
- Driving engagement and training across all departments to foster a culture of sustainable practice.
- Monitoring and optimising building management systems (BMS) and CHP generators.
- Maintaining our Green Tourism accreditations and ensuring full compliance with environmental legislation including SECR and ESOS.
- Designing and reporting monthly performance data, identifying opportunities for improvements and innovation.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a confident sustainability specialist with strong technical expertise and the ability to influence at every level of the organisation. You will bring:
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent specialist knowledge) in a relevant discipline.
- Extensive experience leading sustainability, carbon management, or environmental programmes within a large organisation.
- Strong understanding of UK energy markets, tariffs, and carbon reduction methodologies.
- Experience delivering environmental or energy audits and working with Building Management Systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-starting approach.
- Experience in energy and waste management within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Experience tendering for energy contracts.
