Assistant Night Reception Manager - Newport

Are you a night owl with a passion for hospitality and leadership? We\’re looking for an Assistant Night Reception Manager to join our team at Ty Hotel Newport, part of the prestigious Celtic Collection.

In this pivotal role, you\’ll be responsible for overseeing the hotel\’s night operations, ensuring the smooth running of the front office, and delivering exceptional guest service throughout the night. You\’ll support and lead a dedicated team, manage the night audit process, and ensure the hotel is fully prepared for the next day\’s business., Leading the night team and ensuring five-star service delivery across all departments.

Responsibilities

• Managing the night audit and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Supporting hotel operations including room service, security, and guest relations.
• Acting as the main point of contact for emergencies and ensuring safety procedures are followed.
• Coaching and developing team members to meet high standards and progress in their careers.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel management, ideally in a night or front office role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Opera PMS and general IT systems.
• A guest-focused, adaptable, and team-oriented approach.
• Manual handling capability and willingness to support with room service and setup tasks.
